Venues, Times Set for Fall Home Matches

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Start times and match locations have been set for the fall portion of the West Virginia University rifle team's 2018-19 home schedule.
The Mountaineers (1-0, 1-0 GARC) open their home season this Sunday, Oct. 14, against Memphis, at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building at 10 a.m.
WVU will play host to four teams the following week in a pair of matches at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range inside the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers will compete against No. 4-ranked Murray State and Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., and against No. 5 Air Force and Nebraska on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 9 a.m.
The Mountaineers conclude their fall home slate against NC State on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building.
All matches are free and open to the public.
The College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings also were released today, and WVU checks-in at No. 2. Ranked No. 1 in the 2018-19 Preseason Poll, the Mountaineers are the top-ranked team among schools that have shot at least one match this season. Alaska-Fairbanks ranks ahead of WVU in this week's poll based on its three-score average from last year. The Nanooks open their season this week.
TCU ranks No. 3 and is followed Murray State at No. 4 and Air Force at No. 5.
Kentucky sits at No. 6, Nevada follows at No. 7 and Jacksonville State ranks No. 8. Navy ranks No. 9, and Akron and Army West Point are tied at No. 10.
