Ladies on Target Returns

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The second annual Ladies on Target, presented by Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, at the WVU Coliseum and the WVU Rifle Range.
Registration is now open for this fun and unique experience, hosted by the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC).
Event activities begin with a reception at the WVU Coliseum at 5:30 p.m. Supporters will then enjoy a 90-minute tour and instructional experience with coach Jon Hammond and Mountaineer student-athletes at the WVU Rifle Range before returning to the WVU Coliseum for a dinner buffet. The evening concludes with a question and answer session with coach Hammond and a student-athlete panel. Raffles and a silent auction also will be featured.
All participants will receive a Nike shirt.
"Ladies on Target is truly one of the more unique events and experiences that we offer to our MAC supporters," MAC Assistant Athletic Director Eric Buda said. "The support for this event goes directly to the WVU rifle program, which has amassed 19 NCAA Championships, including five straight from 2013-17. Going on its second year, Ladies on Target is a great way for someone to interact with our remarkable student-athletes and coaches, while also getting the opportunity to participate in a shooting lesson."
This year, all proceeds raised will go directly to funding a one-of-a-kind, international training trip for the Mountaineers. Details surrounding the trip will be announced later this month.
"We are really excited to again host Ladies on Target," Hammond said. "The event was a huge success last year, and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the supporters, sharing our daily experiences and showing off our proud program. It's not often we open the doors to the public, and we know Ladies on Target allows our wonderful WVU fans the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the rifle program.
"All proceeds from this year's event are going to a great cause and an amazing student-athlete experience, and we're thankful and excited."
