Mountaineers Rank No. 1

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team moves up to No. 1 in this week's College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
Today's rankings are based on each team's highest score in the last week. The Mountaineers (8-0, 4-0 GARC) shot 4712 in a win at Army West Point (4658) on Oct. 27. They also shot a 4703 in a win against Coast Guard (4556) on Oct. 28. Both matches were held in West Point, New York.
TCU moves up to No. 2 (4706), and Kentucky follows at No. 3 (4694). Alaska-Fairbanks ranks No. 4 (4693), and Air Force sits at No. 5 (4686).
Murray State ranks No. 6 (4679) and is followed by Memphis at No. 7 (4674). Navy ranks No. 8 (4668), and Ole Miss checks-in at No. 9 (4664). Nevada ranks No. 10 (4662).
The Mountaineers are off this weekend. They will continue their season at No. 2 TCU on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m.
