
Mountaineers Up to No. 2

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team moves up to No. 2 in this week's College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
Today's rankings are based on each team's last score earned. The Mountaineers (6-0, 3-0 GARC) shot 4712 in a win over Nebraska (4660) and Air Force (4686) on Oct. 21 at the WVU Coliseum.
Kentucky continues to ranks No. 1 (4718), and TCU follows WVU at No. 3 (4708). Alaska-Fairbanks ranks No. 4 (4693), and Air Force (4686) sits at No. 5.
Murray State ranks No. 6 (4679) and is followed by Navy at No. 7 (4668). NC State ranks No. 8 (4664), and Nebraska checks-in at No. 9 (4660). Akron and Morehead State are tied at No. 10 (4659).
The Mountaineers will be away this weekend. They will compete at Army West Point on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 8 a.m. They will then compete against Coast Guard on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 8 a.m. Both matches will be held in West Point, New York.
