MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Maggie Drazba of the West Virginia University track and field team travels to the West Coast this weekend to compete at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, California, on Friday, March 31.
“We have Maggie running at Stanford this weekend in the hopes of getting a qualifier for the NCAA Championships,” said coach Sean Cleary. “The competition and weather should be ideal for her.”
Drazba is scheduled to compete in the 10,000 meters on Friday, at 1:05 a.m. ET at Cobb Track.

The St. Marys, West Virginia, native, Drazba, will make her outdoor season debut in the 10,000 meters, this weekend. She last competed in the event at the 2015 Big 12 Outdoor Championship where she placed 10th with a career-best time of 35:50.40.
Looking ahead, West Virginia will have a week to prepare for the Mason Spring Invitational on April 8 in Fairfax, Virginia.
