MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team's scrimmage that was scheduled for Saturday, November 11, at Duquesne has been cancelled due to impending weather forecasts in the Pittsburgh areas.
"We're certainly disappointed to miss out on racing, but canceling this weekend's competition was the right call given the circumstances," said coach Jimmy King. "Thanks to Duquesne University for their time and effort spent coordinating this weekend's planned regatta and their guidance in making this decision."
The cancellation of the event marks the end of the 2017 fall campaign for the Mountaineers. The spring slate will be released in January.
