Ginny Thrasher finished in eighth place in the women's 10m air rifle final earlier today at the 2017 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final for Rifle/Pistol, at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, in New Delhi, India.

A native of Springfield, Virginia, Thrasher shot 122.4 in the final. She earned her spot in the eight-person final with a seventh place, 413.8 (100.8, 105.0, 104.6, 103.4) showing  in the qualification relay.

Serbia's Andrea Arsovic shot 251.3 in the final and finished first overall. Romania's Laura-Georgeta Coman shot 249.7 and placed second, while Peng Xinyi of China finished in third place with a 228.5 total.

The ISSF World Cup Final concludes the World Cup season.

Thrasher will travel back to Morgantown and join her WVU teammates for a pair of matches next weekend at the WVU Rifle Range. The No. 1-ranked Mountaineers face No. 2 TCU on Saturday, Nov. 4, and Army West Point on Sunday, Nov. 5. Both matches will begin at 8 a.m.Â
