
Haunted Hoops Returns Oct. 29

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Haunted Hoops will make its return to the WVU Coliseum, as the West Virginia University women's basketball team hosts West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, Oct. 29, in a 4 p.m. tip in Morgantown. The event is presented by Coca-Cola.
Admission for the Halloween-themed exhibition game is free. Coliseum gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special pregame ceremony as the team unveils the 2017 Big 12 Tournament Championship banner.
Prior to the game, various WVU student organizations will host Trunk-or-Treat in the RV lot of the Coliseum starting at 2 p.m. Additional trick-or-treating and Halloween activities will be available on the Coliseum concourse after the gates open at 2:30 p.m. Participants should bring a clear bag to fill with candy.
All fans are encouraged to wear costumes to the game. In addition, the WVU hip-hop dance team will perform a special Halloween dance at halftime.
The Mountaineers will open the 2017-18 season on Friday, Nov. 10, when they host Central Connecticut State at the WVU Coliseum for Military and First Responder Appreciation Night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and all active, retired and veteran military and first responders will receive free admission with ID.
