Schedule Changes Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University rifle coach Jon Hammond announced several schedule changes and updates for the 2016-17 season.
The Mountaineers will now open their weekend in West Point, New York, against Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) foe Mississippi on Saturday, Nov. 12. WVU will close the weekend against host and GARC opponent Army West Point on Sunday, Nov. 13. Both matches will begin at 8 a.m.
Additionally, the GARC Championships will be hosted by the University of Akron on Feb. 24-25.
The Mountaineers open their 2016-17 season against Ohio State on Sunday, Oct. 2. The smallbore competition will begin at 8 a.m. inside the WVU Rifle Range, and the air rifle competition will begin at 1 p.m. at the WVU Indoor Track inside the Shell Building. Both matches are free and open to the public. A Mountaineer Fan Fest will follow the air rifle competition.
