Eight Earn Scholar All-America Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Eight West Virginia University swimmers and divers were named Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced on Wednesday.
Senior Andrew Marsh was named to the first team, while seniors Aidan Fumagalli, Jaimee Gillmore and Lindsay Schmidt, sophomore Amelie Currat and freshmen Emmott Blitch, Julia Calcut and Madelyn Woods earned Honorable Mention accolades.
Last week, the CSCAA recognized the WVU women’s team as a Scholar All-America Team for the 17th consecutive semester. The Mountaineers earned a 3.34 cumulative grade point average in the spring.
Student-Athletes named to the first team have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Honorable Mentioned team recognizes student-athletes who have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
