MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team hosts its annual Play 4Kay pink game on Saturday, Feb. 6, versus Kansas State. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. A free ticket courtesy of WVU Medicine is available online at WVUsports.com/pink. Additionally, the first 5,000 fans in the door will receive a free WVU Cancer Institute pink rally towel.
Mountaineer fans will be able to donate to the WVU Cancer Institute’s Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at the game. The Betty Puskar Breast Care Center is dedicated to improving the breast health of the women of West Virginia.
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women’s cancers through raising money for scientific research and related projects, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. To date, the Fund has contributed $5.18 million in support of women's cancer research.
