MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The West Virginia University rifle team ranks No. 3 in this week’s College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll.
This week’s rankings are based off the highest aggregate score shot by each team in its last week of competition.
The Mountaineers (7-0, 5-0 GARC) move down two spots to No. 3 after shooting a high score of 4712 in a pair of matches over the weekend.
Along with WVU, the top three teams in this week’s poll shot aggregate scores better than 4700.
TCU moves up four spots and is ranked No. 1 after shooting a high aggregate score of 4728 in a pair of matches over the weekend.
Murray State is up one spot to No. 2 after shooting an aggregate score of 4713.
Kentucky drops two spots to No. 4, while Air Force is down one spot to No. 5.
Ohio State remains at No. 6, and Army moves up five spots and checks in at No. 7.
Nevada is up three spots to No. 8, while Nebraska and Alaska-Fairbanks each drop two spots to No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.
The Mountaineers return to competition on Tuesday, Jan. 10, against Alaska-Fairbanks, at the WVU Rifle Range.
