Mountaineers Remain No. 25 in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team remains No. 25 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches’ Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday.
After recording an 88-38 win over Charleston Southern last Saturday, West Virginia garnered 62 votes to remain 25th in the poll. On Monday, WVU moved up one spot to No. 21 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
Other Big 12 teams in the coaches’ poll are No. 4 Baylor (712), No. 10 Texas (507) and No. 17 Oklahoma (273). Oklahoma State received five points in the others receiving votes category.
The Mountaineers (1-0) return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 15, against Howard in a 6:30 p.m. tilt at the WVU Coliseum. West Virginia closes out its homestand with Coppin State on Saturday, Nov. 19, in a 1 p.m. contest. Admission to Saturday's contest is free courtesy of WVU Medicine.
