West Virginia men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins and guard Tarik Phillip met with media before the start of this afternoon’s workout at the Basketball Practice Facility.
Preseason work is now under way for the Mountaineers, coming off a 26-9 record last season that saw them reach the Big 12 championship game for the first since time joining the conference in 2012 and spending a good portion of the season in the top 10.
Eight key contributors return from last year’s team.
WVU will play its annual Gold-Blue Debut on Thursday, October 13, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia and later this month with face WVU Tech at the King Coal Beckley Automall Arena in Beckley, West Virginia on Saturday, October 29.
The event in Wheeling is free to the general public.
Tickets for the WVU Tech game in Beckley can be purchased at Little General Stores in Raleigh, Fayette, Mercer and Wyoming counties.
