MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield has announced the May schedule for its WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from the Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.
The show has two dates scheduled in May with rowing coach Jimmy King getting the month started on Monday, May 4. Baseball coach Steve Sabins closes the month and second year of the show on Tuesday, May 12. The two shows are scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mountain State Brewing Company's location on Monongahela Boulevard and will be hosted by Andrew Caridi.
King's appearance aligns with his team's preparation for the Big 12 rowing championship on May 17 in Sarasota, Florida. Before heading into postseason play, Sabins will be able to brief fans on his team's final home stand of the season at Kendrick Family Ballpark against TCU on May 14-16. The Mountaineers will then move on to Big 12 championship play on May 19-23 at Surprise Stadium in Arizona.
"The two shows for May come at a strategic time when the two coaches will be wrapping up their seasons and preparing for the postseason," WVU Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Matt Wells said. "Coach King and Coach Sabins can not only recap their seasons to date but provide a glimpse of what lies ahead in postseason action."
For those not in attendance, the one-hour shows will be archived and available the following day on several listening options such as the Varsity Network App, the Apple Podcast Stream and the WVUSports.com audio on demand feature located on the school's official athletic website.
The May schedule for the WVU Olympic coaches at the Mountain State Brewing Company is as follows:
- Monday, May 4 – Jimmy King, WVU Rowing
- Tuesday, May 12 – Steve Sabins, WVU Baseball
