“Moving forward from two weeks ago when we were at Penn State, training has gone well since then,” said coach Sean Cleary. “While it was disappointing not to have a home meet last weekend, we were able to get a block of training in despite the weather. We’re looking to continue on from where we were. In all of the events this weekend, we have important goals.”
The Mountaineers have been idle for two weeks after last weekend’s snowstorm forced the cancelation of the Jan. 23 Marty Pushkin Classic, hosted by WVU. West Virginia last competed at Penn State at the Nittany Lion Challenge, on Jan. 16.
A total of 38 men’s and women’s teams will compete at the PSU National Invite. Three women’s teams ranked in the top 25 of the USTFCCCA national rankings will compete at the meet, Georgetown (No. 10), Stanford (No. 14) and Akron (No. 25).
