MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The No. 24-ranked West Virginia University women’s basketball team welcomes defending Big 12 Champions and No. 4-ranked Baylor to the WVU Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 30 in a 4 p.m. tipoff. The contest is a Gold Rush and Alumni Day.
Additionally, Saturday’s contest is Family Day. A family day package includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and a popcorn for just $25, and must be purchased at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800 WVU GAME. Family Day packages must be purchased by 5 p.m. Friday and are not available on game day.
The contest is a Gold Rush and fans are encouraged to wear their favorite gold WVU gear. WVU will also honor its women’s basketball alumni during the game. Mr. Twister Total Entertainment will be in attendance to provide balloon animals and face painting for kids.
Former Mountaineer women’s basketball players will also be in attendance for the annual alumni weekend.
West Virginia has won five of its last six games and entered the Associated Press Poll for the first time last week. The Mountaineers face back-to-back Top 25 opponents in No. 21-ranked Oklahoma on Wednesday and No. 4-ranked Baylor on Saturday.
