| 2/16/12 A proposed site plan featuring a baseball stadium, commercial and retail space, parking and room for future development is introduced. Monongalia County Commission approves a letter, which expresses interest in pursuing the project. The letter is sent to State Senate President Jeff Kessler because the plan could become a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) project with state tax dollars. |

| 2/20/12 Former Director of Athletics Oliver Luck announces that WVU is looking at the possibility of partnering with developers of the University Town Centre to create a ballpark, while also announcing that the park could feature a short-season minor league team. |

| 6/21/12 New York-Penn League baseball president Ben Hayes says that he is “very, very impressed” with Morgantown and his organization has “strong” interest in placing a franchise in Morgantown. Hayes says he has visited Morgantown several times and he received permission from Pat O’Conner, president of Minor League Baseball, to speak with Luck and Morgantown officials about the possibility of placing a franchise in town. |

| 12/12/12 The two TIF districts proposed to help fund a sports complex and other development at the University Town Centre are unanimously approved by the Monongalia County Commission. The sales tax TIF portion moves along to the state Legislature. |

| 3/27/13 Hayes and O’Connor from Minor League Baseball visit Morgantown for a press conference and reaffirm their interest in the facility. |

| 4/18/13 The TIF bill passes the Senate and the House during the opening hours of the special legislative session and then is sent to the governor for his signature. |

| 5/1/13 Between the second and third innings of the WVU baseball team’s final home game of the season, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin takes a seat at a table placed on Hawley Field and signs the TIF bill into law. |

| 10/17/13 Ground is broken at the site of the new ballpark on an overcast and chilly day. |

| 10/28/13 The Request for Proposal (RFP) is put out for bid. The delivery of the ballpark will be through the use of a design-build contractor, a process that fast-tracks the design and construction into one, enabling them to work at a congruent pace. |

| 10/29/13 The WVU baseball team spends about an hour at the site of the new ballpark in a simulated intrasquad game, led by the seniors who will be unable to play a game at the site. |

| 11/7/13 About 30 representatives from the four prequalified design-build firms meet with a panel in the Jerry West Lounge to discuss the Monongalia County Ballpark RFP. |

| 1/29/14 A use agreement between WVU, Monongalia County and the City of Granville is signed, paving the way for continued progress for the ballpark. The agreement dictates how the ballpark will be used by various entities throughout the lifespan of the park. |

| 2/7/14 Construction trucks begin to roll in as Mascaro Construction receives a notice to proceed and members of the construction team are on-site to do a preliminary survey. |

| 3/17/14 Crews begin to bore down to the mine voids, filling it with flowable fill. The mine remediation lasts until June 5 with crews using 15,000 cubic yards of concrete and grout. With grout holes every 30 feet in a grid pattern, there were a total of 35,000 linear feet bored. |

| 8/15/14 The development of the steel structure of the concourse and press area begins to go up. |

| 8/25/14 An announcement is made that the Jamestown Jammers’ franchise is coming to North Central West Virginia to play in Monongalia County Ballpark. |

| 2/11/15 Astroturf is laid down before snowstorms halted progress. Work on the turf surface is completed on March 26. |

| 3/5/15 West Virginia University announces that severe weather, including single-digit temperatures throughout the month of February, will delay the opening of the new Monongalia County Ballpark. |

| 4/10/15 After just over three years of hard work, Monongalia County Ballpark is set to open as the Mountaineers host Butler on Friday, April 10, at 6 p.m. |
