Men’s Swimmers Qualify for NCAAs

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Two members of the West Virginia University men’s swimming team have met the NCAA qualifying standards and will compete at the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships from March 26-28 in Iowa City, Iowa, announced today by the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Committee.
Senior Tim Squires and junior Andrew Marsh each met the NCAA qualification time standards in their respective events to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships.
“This is a great opportunity for both young men,” said coach Vic Riggs. “I’m excited for them to reach the NCAA Championships and look forward to seeing them represent the flying WV in Iowa.”
Squires hit the qualifying mark in the men’s 50-yard freestyle, while Marsh met the qualifying standard in the men’s 100-yard backstroke.
More information regarding the NCAA Championships will be provided closer to competition.
The first day of competition at the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships begins on Thursday, March 26, with the morning session scheduled for noon, ET.
