MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Outside hitter Maggie Hallow (Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose) will join the West Virginia volleyball team in the fall of 2016 as announced by head coach Reed Sunahara on Wednesday.
“Maggie with add more depth in our ball control and outside hitter positions,” said Sunahara. “She is a hard worker with a great attitude. She helps make the change in culture that we’re looking for.”
A 5-foot-9 hitter at J.H. Rose High in Greenville, North Carolina, Hallow was the 2015 Conference Player of the Year who led the Rampants to the 2014 AAAA State Championship where she was named the tournament MVP. A three-time all-conference honoree, Hallow was selected as an Under Armour All-America Honorable Mention and was nominated for the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year. In addition, she was a three-year varsity captain, a two-year MVP and earned mention as the WNCT Student-Athlete of the Week and WITN Player of the Week.
