Salvation Army Toy Drive Set for Sunday
November 30, 2015 04:49 PM | Women's Basketball
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team will hold its annual Salvation Army “Forgotten Angels” Toy Drive this Sunday, Dec. 6, during the Mountaineers' contest against Fairleigh Dickinson. Tipoff for Sunday’s game is set for 4 p.m.
Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game will receive a free ticket to use for a future regular season women’s basketball game.
Based on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors, the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program provides new clothing and/or toys for children of needy families each year. The “Forgotten Angels” program allows those names on the angel tree that go unadopted still receive a present at the holiday season. The toys will benefit individuals in Monongalia County and surrounding areas.
