Wells notched a kill out of the break, but the Red Raiders responded by scoring seven of the next eight points to take a 15-6 advantage on a block. Back-to-back kills from Montgomery, along with another by Shreve, helped WVU rattle off four in a row though the Mountaineers still trailed 19-12.
