Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is our student-athlete run leadership committee assembled to connect, communicate, innovate and act as ambassadors for our athletic department. Leadership is a developed skill and WVU is committed to helping our student-athletes mature, develop and prepare for life after collegiate athletics.
The Mission
Services Include
- Inform fellow student-athletes and coaches of any institutional news or policy change.
- Serve as a communication liaisons between athletics administration and our coaches and fellow student-athletes.
- Disseminate information, news, projects and events to our coaches and fellow student-athletes.
- Provide feedback, questions, concerns and insight to our athletics department administration.
- Generate a student-athlete voice within the campus athletics department during its formulation of policies.
- Build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletics teams.
- Solicit student-athlete responses to proposed conference and NCAA legislation.
- Organize community service efforts.
- Create a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide committees (e.g., student government).
- Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus.
- Help assist educational and leadership opportunities for both our respective teams.
- Work to create a supportive culture of personal development combined with being the best athletes/teams in nation.
- Brainstorm and implement ways to effectively support one another as we journey through college as student-athletes.
