MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Andy Bevin of the WVU men’s soccer team has earned two honors for his performance last week, totaling eight points in three games.
Bevin was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Men’s Team of the Week and was named the MAC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
The Napier, New Zealand, native had back-to-back four-point matches in a 4-1 win over Oakland and a 3-0 win over Virginia Tech. Bevin finished with one goal and two assists in each match. He also played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to St. Francis (Pa.), taking two shots.
Bevin has eight points this season and 55 points (20 goals, 15 assists) for his career at West Virginia.
The Mountaineers return to action on Thursday, September 11, for a 7 p.m. match against No. 9 UC Irvine at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
