Freshman Joey Piatczyc will provide his insight on the first week of the WVU men's soccer preseason camp. Piatczyc joins the Mountaineers after being honored as the Sporting Kansas City's Male Youth Player of the Year.

Piatczyc appeared in 24 games for the Sporting Kansas City Academy U18’s during the 2013-14 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season.

A native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Piatczyc has twice played in MLS Reserve League games for Sporting KC during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Piatczyc comes to West Virginia as a highly touted recruit, ranking No. 80 on the TopDrawerSoccer IMG Academy Top 150 and No. 109 player in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSoccerNews.
