MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Throughout the next few weeks, we will be announcing the West Virginia University signing class with one signee per day.
Braden Zarbnisky, RHP, 6-3, 185, Marietta, Ga./Pope HS
- Plays for coach Jeff Rowland at Pope High, helping the school to a 16-12 record and an appearance in the Georgia AAAAA state tournament in 2014
- Member of the 2013 state championship team that went 28-10
- Went 4-3 with a 2.29 ERA in 10 starts in 2014, striking out 63 batters in 49.0 innings pitched with an opponent batting average of .207
- Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention All-American (2014)
- Region 7-AAAAA All-Region Second Team (2014)
- Sunbelt Classic All-Tournament Team (2014)
- Pope High Cy Young and Co-MVP winner (2014)
- Coached by Tom Webb of the East Cobb Bulldogs
- Ranked in the Top 500 nationally, No. 386 right-handed pitcher nationally, No. 120 player in Georgia and No. 38 right-handed pitcher in Georgia according to Perfect Game
- Father, Daryl, played baseball at Auburn
