Salvation Army Toy Drive Set for Saturday
December 03, 2014 03:10 PM | General
West Virginia University women’s basketball will hold its annual Salvation Army “Forgotten Angels” Toy Drive this Saturday, Dec. 6 during the Mountaineers 4 p.m. contest with Coppin State.
Fans who bring a new unwrapped toy to the game will receive a free ticket to use at Saturday’s contest or a future regular season women’s basketball game.
Based on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors, the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program provides new clothing and/or toys for children of needy families each year. The “Forgotten Angels” program allows those names on the angel tree that go unadopted still receive a present at the holiday season. The toys will benefit individuals in Monongalia County and surrounding areas.
