Women's Hoops Ranked No. 17 in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women’s basketball was tabbed No. 17 in the USA TODAY Sports Preseason Top 25 Women’s Basketball Coaches Poll on Monday.
Last Thursday, the Mountaineers were picked 17th in the Associated Press poll. WVU is ranked in both preseason polls for the third time in program history and the second-highest preseason rating in both polls. West Virginia was preseason No. 11 during the 2011-12 season.
The Mountaineers open the 2014-15 campaign against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 15, in the first round of the Preseason WNIT at the WVU Coliseum.
