Noreen Earns Academic Honor

West Virginia University men's basketball junior Kevin Noreen has been named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District II men's basketball first team as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
A sport management major with a 3.7 GPA, Noreen has played in all 21 games for the Mountaineers, starting 19 of those contests. He is averaging 2.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game with a season-high 13 points and eight rebounds in the win over Loyola.
Along with Noreen, Seth Hinrichs of Lafayette, Wayne Blackshear of Louisville, Franz Rassman of Loyola, John Kopriva of Georgia Washington and Joey Ptasinski of Lafayette earned all-district first-team honors.
Noreen, a native of Minneapolis, Minn., is now a candidate for Academic All-America honors.
