MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Graduating senior Rachael Burnett, senior Bryce Bohman and sophomore Ross Glegg each swam at their respective nationals on Wednesday.
Burnett and Bohman swam at the 2013 Phillips 66 National Championships and World Championship Trials in Indianapolis, while Glegg participated in the 2013 British Gas Swimming Championships in Sheffield, England.
Burnett placed 36th in the 200 free (2:03.54) and Bohman finished 35th in the 200 back (2:05.39). Glegg reached the semifinals in the 50 free (23.12), taking 12th place.
“All three had nice swims throughout the day. Ross had a lifetime best time in the 50 free, while Rachael and Bryce each had solid 200s,” coach Vic Riggs says. “With Bryce going 2:05 unrested and unshaved, it was a real good prep for the U.S. Open.”
On Thursday, Bohman will swim the 50 back, where he is seeded 13th.
