Six Rowers Earn Academic Medals

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Six West Virginia University rowers have earned the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal for the 2012-13 academic year.
Recipients include Alexandra Basil, Mary Ignatiadis, Rachelle Purych, Danika Rencken, Courtney Schrand and Karen Verwey.
Medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
A total of 547 student-athletes earned Commissioner’s Academic Medals this year.
