Hawley Field Receives Facelift
January 09, 2013 11:44 AM | General
Hawley Field is getting a facelift today as Tuckahoe Turf Farms of Hammonton, N.J. is re-sodding the infield grass, as well as the outer eight feet around the infield.
The company came in yesterday and ripped out the old sod, as well as leveling out the surface. The Kentucky Bluegrass, which has been growing for two years, is being laid down today and the project will be completed by this afternoon.
The athletic department’s resident turf expert, Scott Wolfe, says that the infield grass was last resurfaced about 10 years ago.
