Pokorny Garners Big 12 Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Richard Pokorny of the West Virginia men’s swimming and diving team has been named the Big 12 Men’s Diver of the Week for his performance against TCU last Friday.
A native of East Concord, N.Y., Pokorny placed first on both the 1-meter (306.82 points) and 3-meter (350.92 points) boards at the meet.
This is the second time Pokorny has earned the honor and the sixth time a Mountaineer has earned a Big 12 weekly honor this season.
The women’s squad wraps up dual meet action on Saturday, Jan. 26, at noon in the WVU Natatorium.
