Changes in Coliseum Club Area Planned

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Statler Club Lounge area in the WVU Coliseum will include beer sales at the men's basketball games this season, along with an expanded food and beverage menu and updated large-screen televisions, athletic officials announced today.
There will be no beer sales in the general concession/seating area of the Coliseum, and beer will not be permitted outside the Club area.
The same procedures as conducted at Milan Puskar Stadium will be in place for Club patrons, including proper identification and a limit of two beers per purchase. Sales will start 90 minutes before tipoff, and conclude at the end of halftime.
"Controlled beer sales at the stadium have gone well," Director of Athletics Oliver Luck said, "and thus allowed us to look at other licensed venues where we might offer the same service. We believe the Statler Club area, because it is restricted to Club patrons, is a suitable environment."
