Men's Soccer: WVU Hosts Exhibition Match

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia men’s soccer team will host George Mason in an exhibition contest on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The 90-minute contest will kickoff at 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers return 10 regular starters and 13 letterwinners from last season’s squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. West Virginia also returns 33 of its 34 goals from 2010 and 107 of its 116 points. Senior Franck Tayou led WVU in goals last season with nine, while juniors Shadow Sebele, Peabo Doue and Eric Schoenle each had five goals apiece. Sebele led the Mountaineers in points with 21, racking up 11 assists, while junior Uwem Etuk had seven assists.
George Mason is led by sixth year head coach Greg Andrulis and finished 10-7-1 in 2010. The Patriots return seven starters, 20 letterwinners and bring in eight newcomers.
Admission is free and open to the public.
