MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The BIG EAST Conference released its men’s and women’s soccer television schedule this morning, and the West Virginia University men’s squad will be featured twice on television, while the women’s squad will have one appearance.
The teams will play host to a doubleheader on Sunday, Sept. 25, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, and CBS Sports Network will televise both games. The women will face Rutgers at noon, while the men will follow with a match against USF at 2:30 p.m.
"We’re looking forward to our program getting another opportunity to be on national television,” men’s coach Marlon LeBlanc says. “We’ve been fortunate enough to be on television the past five years, and this year we’re looking forward to showcasing our program and the University to the country."
“This is an exciting opportunity for us to showcase Mountaineer soccer throughout the country,” women’s coach Nikki Izzo-Brown says. “I know many fans, friends and families will be very excited to watch and cheer on the team.”
The men’s team will then be featured as the NSCAA/Fox Soccer Channel Game of the Week against Providence on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The game was previously scheduled for Oct. 22.
Due to the schedule adjustment, the squad will now play host to Connecticut on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. The contest was originally schedule for Oct. 19.
