MEN'S SOCCER GUIDE 3RD IN NATION
May 18, 2011 10:38 AM | General
West Virginia University’s 92-page men’s soccer media guide was recently judged third-best in the nation by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in its annual sports publications contest.
Ohio State’s men’s soccer guide finished first, followed by American.
Congratulations to the WVU sports publications department headed up by Joe Swan and Tim Goodenow, as well as Sports Communications student assistant Grant Dovey for their outstanding work.
Earlier this spring, the Mountaineer wrestling guide was judged "Best in the Nation" by USA Wrestling Magazine.
Also, Chris Ostien’s 2010 West Virginia University football highlight video placed second in the "Recruiting Video Category" behind Central Florida at the 2011 CSVA SAVVY Awards.
Chris is a senior producer/director for the Mountaineer Sports Network.
Great job Chris!
The football and men’s basketball highlight videos are under consideration for the 2011 College Sports Media Awards in the category “Collegiate Athletics – Special Feature” as well.
We’ll keep you posted on how those do.
