Volleyball: WVU to Host Spring Tournament

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team is set to host its first spring tournament of the year, combined with an alumni celebration on Saturday, April 9.

The Mountaineers will begin competition at 9 a.m. with a match against Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Throughout the rest of the afternoon, WVU will face Saint Francis, Robert Morris and Fairmont State. Each match will consist of two sets, playing to a score of 25.

Also, a special WVU alumni game will be played at 11 a.m., with several former members of the Mountaineer volleyball team set to participate.

The weekend will conclude with a coaches’ clinic on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who wish to join may show up at 9:30 a.m. for registration.
