MAC: Chance to Win Greenbrier Classic Badges

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Attendees of West Virginia University’s 19 Mountaineer Athletic Club events this spring will have an opportunity to win one complimentary pass to the 2011 Greenbrier Classic golf tournament, a PGATour and FedExCup event that takes place July 25-31 at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
Each of the four door prize winners will have the opportunity to purchase up to three additional passes for $250 each. All proceeds from purchasing additional badges will benefit WVU student-athlete scholarships through the MAC.
Officials with The Greenbrier Classic Badges for Charity program donated 1,000 badges, with a face value of $495 each, to the WVU Foundation for this summer’s golf tournament. The Foundation, partnering with several WVU organizations, is making the badges available to the general public through outright purchases, drawings and auctions with the proceeds benefitting various University scholarship programs.
The Greenbrier Classic badge includes passes good for the duration of the tournament, including practice rounds, access to special hospitality areas with air conditioning, complementary snacks and upgraded bathrooms, tail-gate style food, free parking and tickets to The Greenbrier Classic concert series headlined by two of country music’s biggest stars, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban.
