Women's Basketball: Repella All-Region

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), in cooperation with State Farm®, announced the all-Region nominees for the 2011 State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team that included West Virginia senior Liz Repella.
Repella becomes the second player in program history to earn the honor as Rosemary Kosiorek was named to the All-America team in 1992.
On, Monday, March 21, the State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team selection committee will review these 52 candidates and trim the list to 40 finalists, all of whom will be in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team.
Beside Repella, of the 12 players listed in the first region, 10 are student-athletes are from the BIG EAST Conference with three from Notre Dame, two from Connecticut, two from DePaul, and one from Marquette and Georgetown.
All NCAA Division I award winners will be recognized at the State Farm Coaches' All-America Team and The State Farm Wade Trophy Announcement during the WBCA National Convention
