MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After consultation with both universities, the women’s soccer match between West Virginia University and the University of Pittsburgh, originally postponed on Sept. 16 at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
The original match was played for 47 minutes with no score, before being postponed due to heavy lightning. Per NCAA rules, any match that has not exceeded 70 minutes of play must be restarted at the beginning with a new contest.
The Mountaineers and Panthers each play a match before the make-up date. WVU plays host to USF on Sunday, Sept. 26, while Pitt welcomes Marquette on the same day.
