MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia slipped one spot to No. 22 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 football poll despite the Mountaineers’ 31-17 victory over Maryland Saturday afternoon at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.
West Virginia remains No. 21 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll released earlier today. WVU is the only Big East team in either poll this week.
The Mountaineers (3-0) will have a big test this weekend at No. 12 LSU in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. This is West Virginia’s first-ever trip to Baton Rouge to face the Tigers.
