Volleyball: Evans Earns Conference Honors

A Canyon Lake, Calif., native, Evans earned tournament most valuable player and highest point scorer honors, as she led her team to a perfect 4-0 record as they defeated Howard (3-0), Buffalo (3-1), Youngstown State (3-0) and Akron (3-0) on their way to the championship title.
Over the weekend, Evans posted a .462 hitting clip on 38 kills, while also posting 11 blocks and scoring 47.5 points.
The Mountaineers are set to return to action on Sept. 3-4 at the George Mason Classic in Fairfax, Va.
