MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Director of Athletics Oliver Luck has announced that women’s tennis coach Marc Walters has resigned to pursue other professional opportunities.
“We will move forward to find our next tennis coach in a timely manner to prepare for the fall season,” Luck says. “Until a head coach is named, associate athletic directors Terri Howes, who is our senior women’s administrator, and Keli Cunningham, who oversaw women’s tennis during her tenure at Maryland, will oversee the tennis team to help it get ready for the fall season.”
Walters spent the last four seasons at West Virginia, guiding the Mountaineers to a 54-46 record.
A national search for a new women’s tennis coach at WVU will begin immediately.
