The public is invited to attend the event. A free children’s clinic for kid’s eighth grade and below will take place immediately following the scrimmage.
“The Gold and Blue scrimmage is to one, prepare our team for its first home match and to go through our game protocol and know what that feels like. Secondly, it gives us a feel for how some lineups work,” first-year coach Jill Kramer says. “It also allows our fans to get to know our players. We will have an autograph session following for anyone who attends. Then, we are going to take some time for the fans to meet the players and ask questions.
“Immediately following, we are going to host a free kid’s clinic. At the clinic we are going to teach all skills that we teach here.”
WVU’s season is set to officially being on Aug. 28-29, with the WVU Classic. The Mountaineers’ first match is against Howard at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
