Track: WVU to Run at Last Chance Meet

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Selected members of the West Virginia University track and field team will competed at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet tomorrow evening in Swarthmore, Pa.
Senior Karly Hamric and juniors Kaylyn Christopher and Jessica O’Connell will compete in the 1,500-meter race, while senior Keri Bland will compete in the 800-meter run. Action is set to begin at 5 p.m.
Last weekend the Mountaineers had an excellent showing at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, as they finished in fourth place overall.
WVU had three student-athletes to capture conference titles, as Marie-Louise Asselin won the 5,000-meter race (16:31.04), Clara Grandt won the 10,000 meter (33:31.80) and Hamric won the 1,500 meter (4:28.02).
Next, WVU will travel to Princeton, N.J., for the ECAC Outdoor Championships on May 15-17.
