Women’s Soccer: WVU Travels to Ohio State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia women’s soccer team closes out its spring season with a trip to Columbus, Ohio, to face Ohio State on Sunday, April 25. The Mountaineers and Buckeyes will play a 90-minute match at OSU’s soccer practice field, beginning at 2 p.m.
“We are excited to compete one last time in the spring season,” says coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. “We’ve worked hard all spring and this gives us one last chance to see where we need to improve as a team before heading into the fall season.”
Sunday’s contest is the eighth and final match of the spring for WVU. West Virginia also competed against Penn State, William & Mary, Virginia, Pitt, Akron, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.
Ohio State and West Virginia met last fall during regular season play with the teams playing to a scoreless draw.
