MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team will travel to Columbia, Mo. on March 20, for a match against Houston at 11 a.m., followed by a 4 p.m. match against Missouri.
"Both of these programs are solid and are from great tennis conferences,” says coach Marc Walters, “but playing indoors will be a nice advantage for us if we can manage to get comfortable early on.”
The Mountaineers hold a regular season record of 12-2 and 4-0 in the BIG EAST after last week’s 4-3 victories over California (Pa.) and Coastal Carolina at the Ridgeview Racquet Club.
The Cougars’ record rose to 8-4 after today’s win against Colorado, while the Tigers go 2-8 in their regular season.
“Our girls have played well on the road thus far, our confidence is as a good as it can be and we are healthy, which is a good combination for successful competing," concludes Walters.
