Women's Soccer: Bri Rodriguez Honored

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s soccer player Bri Rodriguez has been named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Team of the Week, as well as a CollegeSoccer360 Primetime Performer today.
The sophomore midfielder was outstanding in leading the Mountaineers to a pair of NCAA Championship victories over the weekend. The Aurora, Ill., native scored both goals in WVU’s 2-0 shutout against Morehead State in NCAA first round action. The multi-goal game was the first of her career, giving the first team all-BIG EAST midfielder her sixth and seventh goals of the season.
Against Penn State, Rodriguez notched the assist on the game-winning goal to help WVU advance to the “Sweet 16.” The assist was her seventh of the season – the second most on the team.
She finished the weekend with five points on seven shots.
