Women’s Basketball: Miles Out with Injury

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s basketball coach Mike Carey announced today that senior Sarah Miles underwent surgery for a right wrist injury and will be out 4-6 weeks.
“Sarah was in surgery this morning and the doctors said it went really well,” says Carey. “She is a fighter and should be back on the court in no time.”
The senior guard out of San Antonio, Texas, was named the BIG EAST’s Defensive Player of the Year last season as she led the league in steals (95) and assists (200).
The entire 2010-11 roster will be introduced to the public at Mountaineer Madness presented by Coke Zero, Friday, Oct. 15 at the WVU Coliseum.
